16. APPROVE RECEIPT OF FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY (FEMA) HAZARD MITIGATION GRANT PROGRAM (HMGP) FUNDS RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council: 1. Approve receipt of $209,800 in grant funding awarded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP); and 2. Amend the Fiscal Year 2023-24 budget by increasing appropriations by $209,800 in Account No. 265- 85-858-6040.10 (Grants, Fire, FEMA-HMGP, Other Contract Services [Expenditures]) and Account No. 265-99-4198.16 (Grants, FEMA-HMGP [Revenue]); and 3. Take such additional, related action that may be desirable.
