5. AWARD OF THE ADAMS AVENUE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, CITY 24-078\nPROJECT NO. 23-07, AND FINDING OF CALIFORNIA\nENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT (CEQA) CATEGORICAL\nEXEMPTION\nRECOMMENDATION:\nStaff recommends the City Council:\n1. Make a finding of California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) categorical\nexemption pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15301.\n2. Adopt plans, specifications, and working details for the Adams Avenue\nImprovement Project, City Project No. 23-07.\n3. Award a Public Works Agreement (PWA) for construction to All American\nAsphalt, 400 East Sixth Street, Corona, California 92879 in the amount of\n$2,327,723.20.\n4. Authorize the City Manager and City Clerk to execute the PWA for All\nAmerican Asphalt and future amendments to the agreements within Council\nauthorized limits.\n5. Authorize a ten percent (10%) contingency in the amount of $232,772 for\nconstruction and unforeseen costs related to this project.\nENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION:\nThe proposed action is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act\n(CEQA). The action involves an organizational or administrative activity of\ngovernment that will not result in the direct or indirect physical change in the\nenvironment. In addition, the proposed action is exempt under Section 15301\nrelating to the operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, and/or minor alteration\nof existing public facilities.\nAttachments: 1.
