12.9 Consideration and Adoption of a Resolution Approving a Second Amendment to\nMemorandum of Understanding By and Between the County of Los Angeles and the\nCity of El Monte Related to the Potential Development of an Affordable Multi-Family\nRental Housing and Mixed-Use Project on a 6.11-Acre Portion of the 13.66-Acre\nProperty Owned by the County Located at 4024 Durfee Avenue, El Monte to Extend the\nTerm of the MOU.\nRECOMMENDATION OF BUSINESS ITEM UNDER CONSIDERATION:\nIt is recommended that the City Council:\n1. Adopt the proposed Resolution approving a Second Amendment to the Memorandum of\nUnderstanding by and between the County of Los Angeles and the City of El Monte\nrelated to the potential development of an affordable multi-family rental housing and\nmixed-use project on a 6.11-acre portion of the 13.66-acre property owned by the County\nlocated at 4024 Durfee Avenue, El Monte to extend the term of the MOU through\nDecember 31, 2024 with up to two (2) additional 180-day periods if needed; and\n2. Authorize the City Manager to enter into and execute related agreements, as approved\nto form by the City Attorney, and perform other actions necessary to implement the\nactivities and fulfill the intent of the Second Amendment to the MOU.\nTotal Cost: N/A Account No: N/A\nIs the cost of this item budgeted?
