Adoption of Resolution No. 2023- 07,\nReauthorizing the Need for\nTeleconferencing Option for City Council and Commission Meetings Pursuant\nto Assembly Bill No. 361\nThe City Council will consider continuing implementing provisions of\nAssembly Bill ( AB) No. 361, providing an alternative to the public meeting\nteleconferencing requirements of Government Code Section 54953( b)( 3) as long as\nthere is a state of emergency, and the Legislative Body makes certain findings\nregarding the state of emergency. Resolution No. 2023- 07 makes the required\nfindings under AB 361, and if adopted, it will allow the City to continue\nteleconference accessibility for public meetings for the neat 30 days to help mitigate\nthe community transmission of COVID- 19.\nCEQA: Not subject to the California Environmental Quality Act.\nRecommendation: That the City Council adopt Resolution No. 2023- 07, entitled:\nA RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF\nROSEMEAD, CALIFORNIA AUTHORIZING THE NEED FOR\nTELECONFERENCING OPTION FOR CITY COUNCIL AND\nCOMMISSION MEETINGS PURSUANT TO ASSEMBLY BILL\nNO. 361 AND MAKING FINDINGS AND DETERMINATIONS\nREGARDING THE SAME
