3-E. BRUGGEMEYER LIBRARY HVAC IMPROVEMENTS – AWARD OF CONTRACT It is recommended that the City Council consider: (1) Authorizing the City Manager to execute a public works contract substantially similar to Attachment No. 3, in a form approved by the City Attorney, with Bon Air, Inc., in the amount of $261,847 for the Bruggemeyer Library HVAC Improvements Project; (2) Authorizing the Director of Public Works to approve change orders and contingency up to $26,185 (10%) of the contract amount, for a total project cost of $288,032; and (3) Taking such additional, related, action that may be desirable. CEQA (California Environmental Quality Act): The City reviewed the environmental impacts of the proposed Ordinance pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (Public Resources Code §§ 21000, et seq. “CEQA”) and the regulations promulgated thereunder (14 Cal. Code of Regs. §§ 15000, et seq., the “CEQA Guidelines”). The proposed activity contemplates maintenance, repair, and operation of Bruggemeyer Library by replacing mechanical equipment which involves no expansion of the existing use.
