3-E. ADOPTION OF THE CITY OF MONTEREY PARK’S UPDATED LOCAL HAZARD MITIGATION PLAN It is recommended that the City Council consider: (1) Adopting a resolution approving the City of Monterey Park’s Updated Local Hazard Mitigation Plan; and (2) Taking such additional, related, action that may be desirable. CEQA (California Environmental Quality Act): The City reviewed the environmental impacts of the extension under the California Environmental Quality Act (Public Resources Code §§ 21000, et seq. “CEQA”) and the regulations promulgated thereunder (14 Cal. Code of Regs. §§ 15000, et seq., the “CEQA Guidelines”). This activity concerns adoption of a policy document that does not contemplate any physical changes to the environment. Accordingly, this activity is exempt from further review.
