9. Grant Application- Extreme Heat and Community Resilience Program-\nGovernor's Office of Planning and Research (OPR)- Large\nImplementation Category\nIt is recommended that the City Council:\n1. Authorize the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and the Director of the\nCommunity Development Department (CDD) to apply for the\nExtreme Heat and Community Resilience Program Grant- Large\nImplementation Category, in the Governor’s Office of Planning and\nResearch, for up to $ 4 million.\n2. Approve of SGV Casita as a Community Based Organization (CBO)\nCo-Applicant.\n3. Direct Staff to request an Advance Disbursement to avoid using the\nGeneral Fund to front-fund the program.
