6. RESOLUTION NO. - Second Amendment to Service Authorities 4700002145 with Cinnabar dba Cinnabar California Inc. and 4700002146 with Curatorial Inc.: To extend their respective terms by twelve (12) months, covering on-call art handling services for Los Angeles World Airports\nPURPOSE: Staff requests approval of Second Amendment to two (2) on-call art handling services contracts to extend each term by twelve (12) months, for a total of three (3) years. There shall be no increase in the not-to-exceed amount for Service Authority 4700002145 with Cinnabar California Inc. with a contract total of $240,000; and there shall be no increase in the not-to-exceed amount for Service Authority 4700002146 with Curatorial Inc. with a contract total of $300,000. The proposed amendments are for term extensions only, which allow the firms to continue providing on-call art handling services, including installation and deinstallation services of art exhibitions that are in progress, for packing, storing, and transport of artwork.\nRECOMMENDATIONS: Adoption of the Report requesting that the Board of Airport Commissioners determine that this action is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Article II, Section 2.f of the Los Angeles City CEQA Guidelines; find that the work can be performed more economically or feasibly by an independent contractor than by City employees; approve the Second Amendment to Service Authorities 4700002145 with Cinnabar California Inc. and 4700002146 with Curatorial Inc.; and authorize the Chief Executive Officer, or designee, to execute the Second Amendment to said Service Authorities after approval as to form by the City Attorney.
