RESOLUTION SUPPORTING A PEACEFUL RESOLUTION TO THE ONGOING\nCONFLICT AND HUMANITARIAN CRISIS IMPACTING GAZA AND ISRAEL – F2M24-\n16, R2M24-9\nOn January 22, 2024, Mayor Maza and the City Council discussed support for peace in\nthe Middle East related to the ongoing conflict and humanitarian crisis. Following that\nmeeting, on February 12, 2024, Mayor Maza sent a letter to Congresswoman Judy Chu,\nwith copies to Senator Durazo and Assemblymember Mike Fong, encouraging Federal\nsupport for peace, a lasting cease-fire and the safe return of all hostages in Gaza and\nIsrael. In addition, on February 12, 2024, the Council requested a Resolution in support of\npeace be drafted for a subsequent City Council meeting.\nRecommended Action: City Council adopt Resolution No. R2M24-9 entitled: A\nResolution of the City Council of the City of Alhambra supporting a peaceful resolution to\nthe ongoing conflict and humanitarian crisis impacting Gaza and Israel
