13. ARTIST WORK/LIVE AD HOC COMMITTEE PRESENTATION AND\nRECOMMENDATIONS (ORGILL/ROUNAGHI)\nRecommendations:\n(1) Direct the City Manager’s Office/Housing Program Coordinator to prepare and issue\na Request for Proposal for a consultant to lead and facilitate the establishment of a\nLaguna Beach Community Land Trust;\n(2) Direct staff to develop a tenant preference policy requiring housing development\nprojects to reserve a portion of the housing units for artists;\n(3) Direct staff to return to City Council with an Ordinance eliminating the hearing and\npermit requirements for artist work/live occupancy;\n(4) Appropriate $200,000 from the Housing Fund to establish a Community Land Trust;\nand\n(5) Sunset the Artist Work/Live Committee.
