6) CONSIDERATION OF REJECTION OF RFP 2026-05 STATE OF THE CITY CATERING PROPOSALS AND AUTHORIZATION FOR THE ACTING CITY MANAGER TO PROCURE SUCH SERVICES Staff recommends that the City Council reject all proposals received in response to RFP No. Staff recommends that the City Council reject all proposals received in response to RFP No. 2026-05 State of the City Catering Services due to submitted quotes significantly exceeding reasonable pricing. Staff further recommends that the City Council authorize the Acting City Manager to secure catering services for the 2025 State of the City event at a total cost not to exceed $30,000 for an anticipated attendance of 550 guests or fewer. This authorization will allow for direct negotiation with qualified caterers to ensure a cost-effective solution while maintaining the quality and service standards expected for the event.
