CONSIDER APPROVAL OF PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, AND ESTIMATES; AUTHORIZE ADVERTISEMENT FOR CONSTRUCTION BIDS; AND RECORD A NOTICE OF EXEMPTION WITH THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY CLERK AND WITH THE STATE CLEARINGHOUSE FOR PROJECT NO. 1801: MEDIAN STREETSCAPE - CIVIC CORRIDOR, ALONG CARSON STREET (FROM THE I-405 FREEWAY TO GRACE AVENUE) AND AVALON BOULEVARD (FROM 220TH STREET TO THE I-405 FREEWAY, AND FROM DEL AMO BOULEVARD TO THE SR-91 FREEWAY), PURSUANT TO SECTION 15301 OF THE CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT GUIDELINES (CITY COUNCIL) RECOMMENDED ACTION — 1. APPROVE PS&E for Project No. 1801: Median Streetscape - Civic Corridor, along Carson Street (from the I-405 Freeway to Grace Avenue) and Avalon Boulevard (from 220th Street to the I-405 Freeway, and from Del Amo Boulevard to the SR-91 Freeway); — 2. AUTHORIZE staff to advertise the work and call for construction bids for Project No. 1801: Median Streetscape - Civic Corridor, along Carson Street (from the I-405 Freeway to Grace Avenue) and Avalon Boulevard (from 220th Street to the I-405 Freeway, and from Del Amo Boulevard to the SR-91 Freeway); — 3. MAKE the California Environmental Quality Act finding that the proposed Project No. 1801: Median Streetscape - Civic Corridor, along Carson Street (from the I-405 Freeway to Grace Avenue) and Avalon Boulevard (from 220th Street to the I-405 Freeway, and from Del Amo Boulevard to the SR-91 Freeway) is exempt pursuant to Section 15301 of the California Environmental Quality Act guidelines; and, — 4. AUTHORIZE staff to record the “Notice of Exemption” in the office of the Los Angeles County Clerk and with the State Clearing House at the Governor’s Office of Planning and Research for Project No. 1801: Median Streetscape - Civic Corridor, along Carson Street (from the I-405 Freeway to Grace Avenue) and Avalon Boulevard (from 220th Street to the I-405 Freeway, and from Del Amo Boulevard to the SR-91 Freeway).
