27. CONSIDER AWARD OF CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT TO BEADOR CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC. FOR PROJECT 675: SEPULVEDA BLVD - WIDENING PROJECT FROM ALAMEDA BOULEVARD TO INTERMODAL WAY (CITY COUNCIL) RECOMMENDED ACTION — 1. AWARD a Construction Contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, Beador Construction Company Inc., for Project No. 675 - Sepulveda Bridge Widening from Alameda Boulevard to Intermodal Way, in the amount not to exceed $21,975,300; — 2. AUTHORIZE the Mayor to execute the contract, following approval as to form by the City Attorney; and, — 3. AUTHORIZE a 10% construction contingency (approximately $2,197,530) to address any unforeseen construction conditions that way arise, funded entirely through the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) Measure M Grant.
