H. GRANT-FUNDED PURCHASE OF RADIO EQUIPMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF\n$30,114.99\nThe San Gabriel Fire Department is seeking approval to spend $30,114.99 of\npreviously-awarded State Homeland Security Grant funds on Motorola\nAPX8500 radio equipment. In 2021, the Fire Department received a Homeland\nSecurity Grant Program award of $62,000 to fund the purchase of radio\nequipment. On May 2, 2023, the City Council accepted the grant award and\nappropriated funds by Resolution No. 23-21. $30,114.99 is a portion of the total\namount previously awarded by the 2021 State Homeland Security Program\n(SHSP) grant cycle and requires no matching funds.\nCalifornia Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Determination: Not a Project as\ndefined in Section 15378 of the State CEQA Guidelines.\nRecommended Action:\nStaff recommends that the City Council:\n1. Adopt Resolution No. 24-20 authorizing State Homeland Security Grant\nProgram-Funded Purchase of certain Motorola Radio Equipment in the\nAmount of $30,114.99; and\n2. Authorize the City Manager to issue a purchase order to Motorola Solutions,\nIncorporated in an amount not to exceed $30,114.99 for the purchase of\nthree APX8500 mobile radios and accessories detailed in the report in\naccordance with the City of San Gabriel purchasing policy and conditions of\nthe 2021 State Homeland Security Program Grant award.\n5.
