L.3 Alternative Parkway Materials Recommendation: That the City Council 1. Receive the staff update regarding alternatives to decomposed granite (DG) surfaces within City-owned facilities and public right-of-way parkway areas. 2. Provide direction on a preferred policy framework for evaluating alternative surface materials. 3. Direct staff to continue refining a pilot program to evaluate selected materials at representative locations and provide feedback on the evaluation metrics at a future City Council meeting.
