17. CONSIDERATION OF DIRECTION ON THE DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF A CITY HOLIDAY LIGHTING CEREMONY, INCLUDING AUTHORIZATION FOR THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ANY AGREEMENTS RELATED TO THE EVENT Recommendation It is recommended that the City Council: 1. Provide direction to staff regarding whether the City should host and produce the 2026 Holiday Lighting Ceremony (Event); 2. Provide direction to staff regarding whether the City should rent or purchase an artificial holiday tree for the 2026 Event; 3. Authorize the City Manager to execute any necessary agreements and related documents associated with the 2026 Event; and 4. Provide additional direction to staff, as applicable.
