(25) 25-1217 PLANNING AND LAND USE MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE REPORT relative to a proposed Ordinance amending Chapter IX of the Los Angeles Municipal Code (LAMC) to correct technical and clerical errors in Ordinance No. 188797. Recommendations for Council action: 1. APPROVE the proposed Ordinance amending Chapter IX of the LAMC to correct technical and clerical errors in Ordinance No. 188797, which adopted portions of the 2025 Edition of the California Building Standards Code and made local administrative, climatic, geological, topographical, or environmental changes as specified, included in the Department of Building and Safety (DBS) report dated January 22, 2026, attached to the Council file. 2. REQUEST the City Attorney to prepare and present the draft Ordinance, including the environmental clearance. 3. RECEIVE and FILE the two DBS reports dated December 8, 2025. Fiscal Impact Statement: None submitted by the DBS. Neither the Chief Legislative Analyst nor the City Administrative Officer has completed a financial analysis of this report.
