(30) 26-0323 COMMUNICATION FROM THE CITY ATTORNEY relative to a proposed legal services agreement with Manatt Phelps & Phillips, LLP to provide legal services associated with the Charter-authority of the City Attorney’s Office for the Charter Reform Commission. Recommendations for Council action, SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL OF THE MAYOR: 1. APPROVE a four-month contract with Manatt Phelps & Phillips, LLP to assist the Charter Reform Commission with the Charter- authority of the City Attorney’s Office in an amount not to exceed of $30,000. 2. TRANSFER $30,000 from Fund No. 100/56, Account No. 000A38, City Charter Reform, to Fund No. 100/12, Account No. 009301, Outside Counsel. 3. AUTHORIZE the City Attorney, or designee, to prepare Controller instructions for any necessary technical adjustments, subject to the approval of the City Administrative Officer (CAO); and, AUTHORIZE the Controller to implement the instructions. Fiscal Impact Statement: None submitted by the City Attorney. Neither the CAO nor the Chief Legislative Analyst has completed a financial analysis of this report.
