5) CONSIDERATION OF APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL FISCAL YEAR 2025 JUSTICE ASSISTANCE GRANT (JAG) FROM U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE It is recommended that the City Council: 1. Review the proposed federal fiscal year 2025 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program application items; 2. Authorize staff to submit the application and accept the award totaling $23,940; 3. Authorize the Mayor to execute the Certifications and Assurances by the Chief Executive of the Applicant Government 30 days after this Council meeting in accordance with JAG requirements; 4. Designate the Mayor, Acting City Manager, and Acting City Manager's designee to certify and execute all grant related documents. PUBLIC WORKS
