(14) 26-1130 CD 10 CONTINUED CONSIDERATION OF MOTION (HUTT - LEE) relative to asserting jurisdiction over the Central Los Angeles Area Planning Commission action of July 28, 2026, granting in part an appeal with modified conditions for the project located at 261 South Kenmore Avenue. Recommendations for Council action: 1. ASSERT jurisdiction, pursuant to Section 245 of the Los Angeles City Charter, over the July 28, 2026 (Letter of Determination date: August 17, 2026) Central Los Angeles Area Planning Commission action to grant in part an appeal with modified conditions filed by Nam Kim (Voice of Wilshire Koreatown), (Case No. ZA-2025-2662-CUB-CUX-1A), Item 5 on its Agenda), and thereby sustained the Zoning Administrator’s determination dated May 11, 2026 which approved a total of three Conditional Use Permits to: 1) allow the sale and dispensing of a full line of alcoholic beverages for on-site consumption in conjunction with a proposed 7,056 square foot banquet hall with a maximum of 176 seats and live entertainment and dancing in the C2-1 (Commercial) Zone; 2) allow public dancing in conjunction with a proposed banquet hall in the C2-1 Zone; and 3) Conditional Use as to the hours of operation, for the property located at 261 South Kenmore Avenue, within the Wilshire Community Plan Area. 2. REFER the matter, upon assertion of jurisdiction to committee for further review.
