(4) 26-0627 CD 5 ARTS, PARKS, LIBRARIES, AND COMMUNITY ENRICHMENT COMMITTEE REPORT relative to officially naming the Melrose Avenue business corridor from Fairfax Avenue to Citrus Avenue on the north side, and from Fairfax Avenue to Highland Avenue on the south side, as the “Melrose Arts District”. Recommendations for Council action: 1. APPROVE the Community Naming Application and Petition to officially name the Melrose Avenue business corridor within the following boundaries as the “Melrose Arts District”: a. All businesses fronting on Melrose Avenue from Fairfax Avenue to Citrus Avenue on the north side. b. All businesses fronting on Melrose Avenue from Fairfax Avenue to Highland Avenue on the south side. 2. INSTRUCT all relevant departments to perform the necessary requirements to effectuate the naming of the Melrose Arts DIstrict, including but not limited to, the installation of signs.
