Employ a Retired County Employee on a Temporary Basis Recommendation: Grant an exception to the 180-day waiting period required under the California Public Employee’s Pension Reform Act of 2013, and reemploy, without reinstatement from retirement, recent County retiree Warren Wellen to a 120-day temporary assignment as a Senior Deputy County Counsel. Approve the request for Warren Wellen to receive compensation at the rate of $110.73 per hour and work no more than 960 work hours within a fiscal year, upon the Board's approval of the temporary reemployment as a Senior Deputy County Counsel.
