9. AWARD CONTRACT: ASBESTOS ABATEMENT AT THE FORMER LIBRARY\nSATELLITE BUILDING – 2025 SOUTH FREMONT AVENUE – F2M24-23, N2M24-20,\nC2M24-23, M2M24-53\nOn February 12, 2024, the City Council approved the distribution of a Notice Inviting Bids\nfor the Environmental Asbestos Abatement at the Former Library Satellite Building at 2025\nSouth Fremont Avenue. This Project will include the removal of asbestos-containing\nmaterials such as roof mastic, duct mastic, and vinyl floor tiles. On March 14, 2024, the\nCity Clerk received three bids for the Project. The bid received from Resource\nEnvironmental, Inc. was the lowest responsive bid.\nRecommended Action: City Council award a contract, subject to the final language\napproved by the City Manager and City Attorney, to Resource Environmental, Inc. in the\namount of $22,000 for the Environmental Asbestos Abatement at the former Library\nSatellite building at 2025 South Fremont Avenue; and, direct staff to take the steps\nnecessary to finalize Council’s action.
