17. INITIATION OF THE PROCESS FOR THE CONDUCT OF THE NOVEMBER 5, 2024\nALHAMBRA GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION – F2M24-38, O2M24-4829\nStaff requests the City Council consider adoption of an ordinance calling the General\nMunicipal Election in the City of Alhambra to be held on November 5, 2024 to be\nconsolidated with the Statewide General Election to be held that same date for the\npurpose of submitting to the qualified voters the following named officers: Councilperson\nof the Third District, full term and Councilperson of the Fourth District, full term; and, to\ntake any and all actions necessary at this time to start the election process as more fully\ndiscussed in the City Clerk’s April 8, 2024 report.\nRecommended Action: City Council declare introduced for its first reading the\nfollowing ordinance entitled:\nOrdinance No. O2M24-4829: An Ordinance of the Alhambra City Council providing\nfor a General Municipal Election in said city to be held on November 5, 2024 and\nproviding for the consolidation of the General Municipal Election with the Statewide\nGeneral Election, said election being held for the election of the following city officials,\nto wit: Councilperson of the Third District, full term; and, Councilperson of the Fourth\nDistrict, full term which ordinance will return for a second reading and adoption at the next regular Council meeting.
