2. COMMENDATIONS: ALHAMBRA HIGH SCHOOL ACADEMIC DECATHLON TEAM –\nF2M24-3\nMayor Maza and the Alhambra City Council wish to congratulate and commend the\nAlhambra High School 2024 Academic Decathlon Team for reaching the California State\nAcademic Decathlon Competition. The Team took first place out of 63 teams in the 47th\nannual Los Angeles County Academic Decathlon after an outstanding performance in 10\nsubject areas. The Team’s victory led them to compete at the State level where they\nplaced third among high school teams from across California, and were the first team from\nAlhambra High School to advance to the State level. The Team scored a total of more\nthan 43,000 points and took home 18 medals. The AHS Academic Decathletes are to be\ncommended for their perseverance and dedication to scholastic excellence and the City\nof Alhambra celebrates their accomplishments. Mayor Maza will present commendations\nto the AHS 2024 Academic Decathlon Team members and coach.
