COMMENDATION: ALHAMBRA ROTARY CLUB – DONATION OF BRONZE ART\nPIECE – F2M24-3\nMayor Maza and the Alhambra City Council wish to commend the Alhambra Rotary Club\nfor their generous donation of a bronze art piece displayed in front of the Alhambra Civic\nCenter Library. The sculpture, depicting two children seated on a small bench enjoying a\nbook, celebrates reading at all ages and commemorates the Alhambra Rotary Club’s 100th\nAnniversary. The Alhambra Rotary Club was founded in April of 1924 to fulfill the mission\nof the Rotary Club International organization to provide service to others, promote\nintegrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through their fellowship\nof business, professional, and community leaders. Over its long history, the Alhambra\nRotary Club has not only instituted many of their own charitable events and programs, but\nhas contributed their support to numerous City programs. The City of Alhambra is pleased\nto commend the Alhambra Rotary Club for their generosity and commitment to the\nbetterment of the community. Mayor Maza will present the commendation to a\nrepresentative of the Alhambra Rotary Club.\nPRESENTATIONS
