CONSIDERATION OF ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE NO. 942, AMENDING CHAPTER 5.64\n(RETAIL CANNABIS BUSINESS PERMIT) OF TITLE 5 (BUSINESS LICENSES,\nREGULATIONS AND TAXES) OF THE BELL GARDENS MUNICIPAL CODE TO\nRESTRICT THE NUMBER OF BUSINESS REGULATORY PERMITS FOR CANNABIS\nRETAIL BUSINESSES\nWaive full reading and introduce Ordinance No. 942, by title only, amending Chapter 5.64 (Retail\nCannabis Business Permit) of Title 5 (Business Licenses, Regulations and Taxes) of the Bell\nGardens Municipal Code, to limit the number of cannabis retail regulatory permits citywide.\nRecommendation:\nIt is staff’s recommendation that the City Council:\n1. Find proposed Ordinance No. 942 (Exhibit 1) exempt from the provisions of the California\nEnvironmental Quality Act (CEQA); and\n2 Waive full reading and introduce Ordinance No. 942, by title only, amending Chapter 5.64\n(Retail Cannabis Business Permit) of Title 5 (Business Licenses, Regulations and Taxes) of\nthe Bell Gardens Municipal Code, to limit the number of cannabis retail regulatory permits\ncitywide.
