5. ANIMAL CARE SHELTER SERVICES - PRICELESS PETS RESCUE 24-116\nRECOMMENDATION:\nStaff recommends the City Council:\n1. Approve and authorize the City Manager to execute the Professional\nServices Agreement with Priceless Pets Rescue (PPR) to provide full-service\nanimal sheltering and animal adoption services. PPR will be responsible for\nthe intake, coordination, and management of animals within the City of Costa\nMesa for a five-year term, July 1, 2024 - June 30, 2029, for a not to exceed\namount of $480,000 annually.\n2. Approve an annual Consumer Price Index (CPI) escalation and de-escalation\nnot exceeding 5%.\n3. Authorize the City Manager and City Clerk to execute the agreement and any\nfuture authorized amendments to the agreement.\n4. Authorize the City Manager or designee to extend the PPR interim service\nagreement (Amendment #6) until June 30, 2024, for a not to exceed amount\nof $33,000 monthly.\nAttachments: 1.
