Item No. 19. 2024-0263 CONSIDER APPROVING (1) THE PURCHASE OF\nBASKETBALL/VOLLEYBALL/WRESTLING\nSCOREBOARDS FROM DAKTRONICS, INC. FOR\nVETERANS SPORTSCOMPLEX AND FOISIA PARK,\nAND (2) A PUBLIC WORKS AGREEMENT WITH\nCUSTOM SIGNS INC. TO REMOVE, INSTALL, OR\nMOVE SCOREBOARDS AT VETERANS\nSPORTSCOMPLEX, FOISIA PARK, AND STEVENSON\nPARK (CITY COUNCIL)\nRecommendation: TAKE all of the following actions:\n1. WAIVE the formal bidding procedures as defined by the Carson\nMunicipal Code (CMC) Section 2610, and APPROVE the\npurchase of four (4) new PanaView Basketball/Volleyball/Wrestling\nScoreboards and additional accessories/supplies as shown in\nExhibit No. 1 from Daktronics, Inc., an authorized dealer, for a total\nnot-to-exceed cost of $51,558.06, by the Purchasing Manager via\na purchase order pursuant to CMC Section 2611(g) (Cooperative\nPurchasing bidding exemption) and Omnia Partners Cooperative\nPurchasing Agreement #R220601.\n2. APPROVE the proposed Public Works Agreement with Custom\nSigns, Inc. for a total not-to-exceed Contract Sum of $28,200\n(Exhibit No. 7; the Agreement");\n3. APPROVE a contingency in the amount of five percent (5%) of\nthe Contract Sum set forth in the Agreement ($1,410) to cover any\nunforeseen extra work that may be needed pursuant to Section\n1.12(a)-(b) of the Agreement; and\n4.
