8. NOTICE OF COMPLETION: FRONT STREET WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT AND\nZONE CHANGE - PHASE 1 — F2M19-20, C2M23-72, M2M24-64\nOn August 28, 2023, the City Council awarded Contract C2M23-72 to Teichert Energy &\nUtilities Group, Inc for the Front Street Water Main Replacement and Zone Change Phase 1 Project in the amount of $908,785.00. There were two authorized change orders\nduring the project. The change orders were to relocate a utility vault, replace irrigation\nservices to the median, additional paving and also included various miscellaneous items\ncredited to City. The change order increased the total amount of the contract by\n$65,062.83, for a total project cost of $973,847.83. The project has been completed in\naccordance with the City’s requirements and specifications. As such, it would be\nappropriate for the City Council to accept the project as complete and instruct the City\nClerk that the Notice of Completion be filed with the County of Los Angeles Recorder’s\nOffice. |\nRecommended Action: City Council accept the work of Teichert Energy & Utilities\nGroup, Inc. for the Front Street Water Main Replacement and Zone Change - Phase 1\nProject as complete in the amount of $973,847.83; direct the City Clerk to file a Notice of\nCompletion with the County of Los Angeles for recordation; release the five percent\nretention 35 days from the date of recordation if no liens are filed; and, direct staff to\nundertake the steps necessary to finalize Council’s action.
