RESOLUTION NO. - Award of individual three (3)-year Contracts to Graybar Electric and\nKambrian Corporation: Covering purchase of information technology communications\nequipment and supplies for Los Angeles World Airports, for cost of $1,500,000 per contract, for\ncombined cost not to exceed $3,000,000\nPURPOSE: To award three (3)-year contracts for purchase of information technology (IT)\ncommunications equipment and supplies to support ongoing maintenance, repair, and\nmodification of existing IT systems, and to accommodate installation of new IT systems to\nsupport airport operations, public safety, and capital projects of Los Angeles World Airports\n(LAWA). Four (4) Requests for Bids (RFBs) were issued for IT equipment: [1] end-user\nequipment used by employees for day-to-day business; [2] network equipment used for\n6. interconnecting all LAWA systems and applications; [3] enterprise equipment used to manage\nsystems, store data, display flight information in terminals, and secure IT assets from cyber\nthreats; and [4] communications equipment, which includes fiber optic cable and uninterruptible\npower supplies that provides emergency power when there is a power interruption. The proposed\nBoard action covers award of one of the four (4) RFB opportunities: communications equipment.\nRECOMMENDATIONS: Adoption of the Report requesting that the Board of Airport\nCommissioners determine that this action is exempt from the California Environmental Quality\nAct (CEQA) pursuant to Article II, Section 2.f of the Los Angeles City CEQA Guidelines;\napprove Award of individual Contracts to Graybar Electric and Kambrian Corporation; and\nauthorize the Chief Executive Officer, or designee, to execute said Contracts after approval as to\nform by the City Attorney.
