DIRECTION FOR CONTINUATION OR WITHDRAWAL FROM BELL GARDENS\nMEMBERSHIP IN THE GATEWAY CITIES AFFORDABLE HOUSING TRUST (GCAHT), A\nJOINT POWERS AUTHORITY ("JPA")\nRequest for direction on continuation or withdrawal of membership in the Gateway Cities Affordable\nHousing Trust, a Joint Powers Authority (“JPA”).\nRecommendation:\nIt is staff’s recommendation that the City Council direct staff to:\n1. Continue membership in the Gateway Cities Affordable Housing Trust and take no further\naction; OR\n2. Withdraw from the Gateway Cities Affordable Housing Trust and have staff provide a letter to\nthe Gateway Cities Council of Governments prior to the June 30, 2024, deadline to withdraw\nat no cost.
