RESOLUTION NO. - Award of three (3)-year Contract to Zones LLC: Covering purchase of\ninformation technology network and telephony equipment and related services for Los Angeles\nWorld Airports, for cost not to exceed $10,136,425\nPURPOSE: To award a three (3)-year contract for purchase of information technology (IT)\nnetwork and telephony equipment, and related services, to support airport operations, public\nsafety, capital projects, and cyber security initiatives. Four (4) Requests for Bids (RFBs) were\nissued for IT equipment: [1] end-user equipment used by employees for day-to-day business; [2]\nnetwork and telephony equipment used for interconnecting all Los Angeles World Airports\nsystems and applications; [3] enterprise equipment used to manage systems, store data, display\n9.\nflight information in terminals, and secure IT assets from cyber threats; and [4] communications\nequipment, which includes fiber optic cable and uninterruptible power supplies that provides\nemergency power when there is power interruption. The proposed Board action covers award of\none of the four (4) RFB opportunities: network and telephony equipment.\nRECOMMENDATIONS: Adoption of the Report requesting that the Board of Airport\nCommissioners determine that this action is exempt from the California Environmental Quality\nAct (CEQA) pursuant to Article II, Section 2.f of the Los Angeles City CEQA Guidelines;\napprove Award of Contract to Zones LLC; and authorize the Chief Executive Officer, or\ndesignee, to execute said Contract after approval as to form by the City Attorney.
