CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF RESOLUTION 24-150,\nAUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF TWO (2) TRANSPORTATION\nVEHICLES FROM AZ BUS SALES INC.\nThe City of South El Monte was awarded a grant from the Federal Transit\nAdministrative (“FTA”) Section 5310 Program – Enhanced Mobility of\nSeniors and Individuals with Disabilities Program. The FTA Section 5310\nprogram aims to improve mobility for seniors and individuals with\ndisabilities by removing barriers to transportation services and expanding\ntransportation mobility options. Funds were allocated in the FTA grant to\npurchase two (2) aging transportation vehicles.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION: Staff recommends City Council:\n1. Adopt Resolution No. 24-150, approving the purchase of two (2) Nor\nCal Ford 2024 Van-Driver Class Z-1-E Transit 350 vehicles from AZ\nBus Sales; and\n2. Authorize City Manager to negotiate and execute all requisite\ndocuments for the purchase.
