3-C. URBAN AREA SECURITY INITIATIVE – AWARD OF CONTRACT TO ERIC GARCIA, OF TGI\nOPERATIONS, LLC, FOR THE REGIONAL TRAINING GROUP (RTG) FIRE SERVICE\nTRAINING OFFICER\nIt is recommended that the City Council consider:\n(1) Authorizing the City Manager to execute a one year agreement in the amount of $200,000,\nwith the option to extend for an additional two years, with Eric Garcia of TGI Operations,\nLLC., in a form approved by the City Attorney, to provide training and further develop\nresponse readiness of Los Angeles area fire agencies for incidents of national significance\nfor an amount not to exceed $600,000;\n(2) Authorizing the Finance Department to appropriate $40,000 in grant funding to the FY\n2023-2024 budget; and\n(3) Taking such additional, related, action that may be desirable.
