11. Resolution amending the 2024-25 Comprehensive Fee Schedule for the implementation of\na 2% Technology Fee on all Building Permits to cover permit software licensing, plan\nreview software licensing, and additional technology costs associated with permitting,\nplan review, and inspections - The City’s Comprehensive Fee Schedule, as established by\nResolution 24-22, is reviewed each year in conjunction with the annual budget process. Although\nthe Community Development Department had identified an additional fee for the online building\npermit hosting system when the 2024-25 Comprehensive Fee Schedule was adopted, they\nnoted that the Building Industry Association of Southern California requested notification which\nhad not been completed timely. This proposed Resolution provides for the amendment to the\nrecently adopted 2024-25 Comprehensive Fee Schedule to include the added fee with the\ndesired notification provided.\nRecommendation: That the City Council adopt "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF\nTHE CITY OF LA VERNE, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE 2024-25 COMPREHENSIVE FEE\nSCHEDULE FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF 2% TECHNOLOGY FEE ON ALL BUILDING\nPERMITS TO COVER PERMIT SOFTWARE LICENSING, PLAN REVIEW SOFTWARE\nLICENSING, AND ADDITIONAL TECHNOLOGY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PERMITTING,\nPLAN REVIEW, AND INSPECTIONS."\nOTHER MATTERS
