6. AGREEMENT FOR TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP\nOF POLICE SERVICE DOG Officer Taylor Ryan\nrotated out of the Canine Program and into the\nPatrol Division as a Sergeant, effective March 25,\n2024. Police Service Dog (PSD) Ragnar will be\nretired from active service. Ragnar is a 5-year-old\nBelgian Malinois and has served as a Tustin Police\nCanine for five years. Based on the unique bond\nbetween canine and handler, Sergeant Taylor Ryan\nhas agreed to accept ownership of Ragnar. The\nAgreement for Transfer of Ownership of a Police\nService Canine has been reviewed and approved by\nthe City Attorney.\nRecommendation: Approve the Agreement for\nTransfer of Ownership for a Police Service Dog\nbetween the City of Tustin and Sergeant Taylor\nRyan so that Ragnar can live out the remainder of\nhis days with the Ryan family.\nAgenda Report
