G. COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH LOS ANGELES COUNTY FOR THE\nANNUAL STREETS PROGRAM FISCAL YEAR 2023-2024 AT AN ESTIMATED\nCOST OF $557,015\nAs part of this year’s Annual Streets Program, the City of San Gabriel plans to\nrepave Broadway and Walnut Grove Avenue which are jurisdictionally shared\nbetween the City of San Gabriel and the County of Los Angeles. Due to the\nscope and cost of the project, the County policy requires a Cooperative\nAgreement be executed for the joint-agency repaving project. The City’s share\nis estimated to be $2,052,929.64 and the County’s share is estimated to be\n$557,015. The County will pay a deposit of $590,000 to the City, covering the\nanticipated estimated project cost share of $557,015. Upon the completion of\nthe project, the City will invoice the County for their actual share costs of the\nproject.\nCalifornia Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Determination: This project is\ndetermined to be Categorical Exempt per CEQA Section 15301 – Existing\nFacilities. The project will improve the existing condition of local streets. No\npotential for significant impacts to the environment are anticipated in this project.\nRecommended Action:\nStaff recommends that the City Council authorize the Mayor of San Gabriel to\nexecute the Cooperative Agreement between the City and Los Angeles County\nand authorize City staff to invoice Los Angeles County for their actual share\ncosts of the project.
