D. FOURTH AMENDMENT TO CITY MANAGER EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT\nBETWEEN THE CITY OF SAN GABRIEL AND MARK LAZZARETTO\nThe proposed Fourth Amendment to the City Manager Employment\nAgreement would extend the City Manager’s term of employment by an\nadditional five years, to February 5, 2031, and increase the City Manager’s base\nsalary by five percent (5%), to $257,317. Additionally, the annual base salary of\nthe City Manager shall never be less than 105% of the top range of the base\nsalary of the City’s next-highest paid employee. No change to any other\nprovision of the employment agreement of any kind is proposed. The Fourth\nAmendment affirms an increase of $12,253 to the City Manager’s annual base\nsalary. The annualized costs are covered in the existing 2024-2025 fiscal year\nbudget.\nCalifornia Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Determination: Not a Project as\ndefined in Section 15378 of the State CEQA Guidelines.\nRecommended Action:\nStaff recommends that the City Council approve the Fourth Amendment to the\nCity Manager Employment Agreement between the City of San Gabriel and\nMark Lazzaretto.
