A. PROPOSED CITYWIDE FEE SCHEDULE FOR FISCAL YEAR 2024-2025\n[RESOLUTION NO. 24-26]\nThe citywide fee schedule establishes user fees and charges for various\ndepartment-related services. User fees and regulatory fees charged by the City\nmay not exceed the estimated reasonable cost to provide the service or\nregulate the activity. Fees for the use of public property are considered rents.\nRents are set at the discretion of the City and are not limited by cost recovery.\nThe consumer price index (CPI) for the Los Angeles Metro area, for January\n2024, increased by 2.5%. Based on the Fiscal Year 2024-25 forecasted revenues,\na 2.5% to general fund fees is estimated to generate approximately an\nadditional $160,000 in general fund revenue.\nCalifornia Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Determination: Not a Project as\ndefined in Section 15378 of the State CEQA Guidelines.\nRecommended Action:\nStaff recommends that the City Council adopt Resolution No. 24-26 updating\nthe Master Fee Schedule for Fiscal Year 2024-25.
