AWARD CONTRACT: ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEM SERVICES AT THE CITY’S FIRE\nDEPARTMENT STATIONS – F2M24-16, C2M24-39, M2M24-88\nThe Fire Department stations are 24-hour fire and safety response facilities. The buildings\ncontain offices, living quarters, locker rooms and storage for firefighting apparatus,\npersonal protective equipment, fire hoses and other specialized equipment for Fire\nDepartment staff. Fire Department staff solicited quotes for an access control system at\nall four stations with the lowest quote received from Access Tech Security in the amount\nof $49,924.87. The implementation of a door access control system will exclusively grant\nentry to Fire Department personnel and improve control and protection of the City’s\nfacilities.\nRecommended Action: City Council award a contract, subject to final language\napproval by the City Manager and City Attorney, to Access Tech Security in the amount\nof $49,924.87 for the installation of access control system services at Fire Stations 71, 72,\n73 and 74; and, direct staff to undertake the steps necessary to finalize Council’s action.\n(M2M24-88)\n15\n5-13-24
