19. AWARD CONTRACT: PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING DESIGN SERVICES FOR THE\nBURKE HERITAGE PARK AND MARENGO YARD STORMWATER CAPTURE\nPROJECT – F2M21-63, RFP2M24-5, C2M24-36, M2M24-75\nOn February 26, 2024, the City Council approved the distribution of a Request for\nProposals (RFP2M24-5) for Engineering Design Services for the Burke Heritage Park and\nMarengo Yard Stormwater Capture Project. The City received five proposals for the\nproject. A review committee comprised of four staff members reviewed the submitted\nproposals. Staff evaluated the proposals based on qualifications, experience, references,\ntechnical approach, responsiveness and cost. CWE was selected as the most appropriate\nfirm to perform the proposed scope.\nRecommended Action: City Council award a contract, subject to final language\napproval by the City Manager and City Attorney, by and between the City of Alhambra and\nCWE for Engineering Design Services for the Burke Heritage Park and Marengo Yard\nStormwater Capture Project in an amount not to exceed $784,299; and, direct staff to\nundertake the steps necessary to finalize Council’s action.
