APPROVAL OF FIRST AMENDMENT TO COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH CITY\nOF GARDEN GROVE TO INCREASE REIMBURSEMENT TO THE CITY FOR THE\nFISCAL YEAR 2022/23 CITY WIDE STREET REHABILITATION PROJECT (TASK\nCODE 2023-101)\nA portion of the intersection of Katella Avenue and Dale Avenue is within the City of\nGarden Grove’s city limit. As such, the City entered into a Cooperative Agreement with\nthe City of Garden Grove to establish construction costs for each city’s portion of the\nproject. Following bid opening and award of construction for the Project, an Amendment\nto the Cooperative Agreement is required to amend the compensation amount for the\nCity of Garden Grove’s portion from $7,690 to $60,500.\nMay 14, 2024\nRECOMMENDED ACTION:\n1. City Council find that the recommended actions are exempt from CEQA per\nSection15378(b)(5) [Project does not include]: organizational or administrative\nactivities of governments that will not result in direct or indirect physical changes in\nthe environment; and\n2. Approve the First Amendment to the existing Cooperative Agreement with the City of\nGarden Grove; and\n3. Authorize the City Manager to execute the First Amendment to the existing\nCooperative Agreement with the City of Garden Grove.
