8.3. Consideration of Resolutions pertaining to the November 5, 2024, General\nMunicipal Election.\nRecommended Action:\n1. Adopt Resolution No. 11545. A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Orange\ncalling and giving notice of a General Municipal Election to be held on Tuesday,\nNovember 5, 2024, for the election of certain officers as required by the provisions\nof the laws of the State of California relating to General Law Cities and for the\nsubmission to the voters a question relating to the adoption of a proposed\nordinance amending Chapter 8.13 of the Orange Municipal Code to permit the sale,\npossession, and use of safe and sane fireworks in the City of Orange.\n2. Adopt Resolution No. 11544. A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Orange\nrequesting the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange to consolidate a\nGeneral Municipal Election to be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, with the\nStatewide General Election to be held on the same date pursuant to Elections Code\nSection 10403.\n3. Adopt Resolution No. 11543. A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Orange\nadopting regulations for candidates for elective office pertaining to candidate\nstatements submitted to the voters at an election to be held on Tuesday, November\n5, 2024.\n4. Adopt Resolution No. 11542 authorizing one or more members of the City Council\nto file written arguments In Favor or Against the Measure. A Resolution of the City\nCouncil of the City of Orange setting priorities for filing written arguments regarding\na city measure pertaining to fireworks and directing the City Attorney to prepare an\nimpartial analysis for the measure to be submitted to the voters at the General\nMunicipal Election to be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.\n5. Adopt Resolution No. 11546.
