c. EAST BURNETT STREET HISTORICAL DISTRICT PEDESTRIAN AND BIKE\nENHANCEMENT PROJECT; ACTIVE TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM (ATP) -\nCYCLE 6 GRANT FUNDING\nSummary:\nIn June 2022, the Public Works Department submitted the ATP Cycle 6\napplication for program funding for the East Burnett Street Historical District\nPedestrian and Bike Enhancement Project. The project includes the installation\nof sidewalks between Gaviota Avenue and Cherry Avenue, Class 2 Bike Lane\nbetween Walnut Avenue and Dawson Avenue, and related roadway\namenities/improvements The proposed active transportation improvements offer\nsafe, popular, and healthier modes of travel along this street. The grant amount\napproved by Caltrans as part of the ATP program for the East Burnett Street\nHistorical District Pedestrian and Bike Enhancement Project is $2,785,000. The\nof Transportation (Caltrans) for the proposed project. Staff recommends the City\nCouncil adopt a resolution authorizing the City Manager and/or the Public Work\nDirector to execute all necessary documents to receive and expend ATP Cycle 6\ngrant funds.\nStrategic Plan Goal(s):\nGoal No. 1 Financial Stability: Ensure the City’s long-term financial stability\nand resilience.\nGoal No. 2 Community Safety: Maintain community safety by supporting\npublic safety services and increasing emergency preparedness.\nGoal No. 4 Infrastructure: Maintain and Improve the City’s physical\ninfrastructure, water system, and recreational spaces.\nRecommendations:\n1. Authorize the City Manager and/or Public Works Director to enter into a\nMaster Agreement with the Department of Transportation for project\nfunding in the amount of $2,785,000 for the construction of East Burnett\nStreet Historical District Pedestrian and Bike Enhancement Project.\n2. Adopt a resolution entitled:\nA RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SIGNAL\nHILL, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND/OR\nPUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE ALL NECESSARY\nDOCUMENTS TO RECEIVE AND EXPEND ACTIVE\nTRANSPORTATION PROGRAM (ATP) CYCLE 6 AWARDED GRANT\nFUNDS FOR THE E.
