7. Consider Approval of Amendment No. 1 to the Maintenance Services\nAgreement (MSA) With West Coast Arborists (WCA) Inc., for Citywide\nTree Maintenance Services and Authorize Staff to Publish a Request for\nProposals for Tree Maintenance Services\nStaff recommends that Council:\n1. Approve Amendment No. 1 to the Maintenance Services Contract\nwith West Coast Arborists (WCA), Inc. for Citywide Tree\nMaintenance Services, extending the term contract for an additional\none (1) year and adjusting rates by 3.4% for FY24-25 due to CPI\nincrease; and,\n2. Approve an increase to the annual not-to-exceed contract amount\nfrom $165,000 to $171,000 in FY24-25 due to the CPI increase;\nand,\n3. Authorize Staff to publish a Request for Proposals for Tree-trimming\nservices prior to the expiration of Amendment No. 1; and,\n4. Authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute Amendment No. 1;\nand,\n5. Authorize the Finance Director to make necessary budget\nadjustments per the increase of rates to allow payments approved\nFY 2023-24 and any subsequent fiscal years within contract\namendment terms.
