7) CONSIDERATION TO APPROVE A FUNDING AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA\nDEPARTMENT OF WATER RESOURCES TO FUND THE WATER NITRATE TREATMENT SYSTEM;\nADOPT A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO ENTER INTO A FUNDING AGREEMENT\nWITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF WATER RESOURCES; AND ADOPT A\nRESOLUTION AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2023-2024 ADOPTED BUDGET\nRecommend that the City Council:\na. Approve Funding Agreement No. 4600015580 (Contract No. 2250) with the State of\nCalifornia Department of Water Resources to fund the Water Nitrate Treatment System in\nthe amount of $3,000,000;\nb. Adopt Resolution No. 8304 authorizing the City to enter into a Funding Agreement with the\nState of California Department of Water Resources to receive funds for the City’s Well No. 2A\nWater Nitrate Treatment System;\nc. Adopt Resolution No. 8305 amending the Fiscal Year 2023-2024 Adopted Budget to\nappropriate expenditures and revenues in the Capital Grants Fund; and\nd. Authorize the City Manager to execute the grant agreement with CDWR and all grant\nrelated documents.
