I.21. AUTHORIZATION TO AWARD CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT TO PACIFIC\nWEST UNDERGROUND INC. FOR SUNNYMEAD MDP LINE B-16A\nPROJECT NO. 804 0015 (Report of: Public Works)\nRecommendations:\n1. Award a construction contract to Pacific West Underground Inc.\n(32147 Dunlap Blvd Ste K, Yucaipa, CA 92399) for the Sunnymead\nMDP Line B-16A Project;\n2. Authorize the City Manager to execute a contract with Pacific West\nUnderground Inc. in the amount of $1,479,442.00, funded by PW\nGeneral Capital Projects Funds (Fund 3002) and Capital Projects\nReimbursements Funds (Fund 3008);\n3. Authorize the issuance of a Purchase Order to Pacific West\nUnderground Inc. for the amount of $1,701,358.30 ($1,479,442.00 bid\namount plus 15% contingency) when the contract has been signed by\nall parties; and\n4. Authorize the Public Works Director/City Engineer to execute any\nsubsequent related change orders to the contract with Pacific West\nUnderground Inc. up to the budget as previously approved by Council,\nsubject to the approval of the City Attorney.
