AUTHORIZATION TO AWARD BID FOR THE FURNISHING AND\nDELIVERY OF SUBSTATION TRANSFORMERS FOR THE MORENO\nVALLEY SUBSTATION UPGRADES PROJECT TO VIRGINIA\nTRANSFORMER CORP IN THE AMOUNT OF $6,460,918 FOR TWO\nSUBSTATION TRANSFORMERS AND APPROPRIATE FUNDS FOR THIS\nMAJOR EQUIPMENT (Report of: Public Works)\nRecommendations:\n1. Award the Bid to Virginia Transformer Corp, the lowest responsible\nbidder, for the purchase of Two Substation Transformers and\nauthorize the issuance of a Purchase Order to Virginia Transformer for\n$6,460,918.\n2. Appropriate funds for the purchase of the above major equipment for\nthe Moreno Valley Substation Upgrades project in the amount of\n$6,460,918.\n3. Authorize the Chief Financial Officer/City Treasurer to execute any\nsubsequent related minor change orders up to, but not exceeding, the\ncontingencies for each equipment as stated in the report, subject to\nthe approval of the City Attorney.
