14. SECOND READING AND ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE NO. 1138, APPROVING A\nZONE TEXT AMENDMENT TO AMEND TITLE 15 (LAND USE), CHAPTER 155\n(ZONING) FOR TEMPORARY TRUCK, TRAILER, CHASSIS AND/OR\nCONTAINER STORAGE, OF THE SANTA FE SPRINGS MUNICIPAL CODE, AND\nDETERMINE THAT THE ACTION IS EXEMPT UNDER CEQA (PLANNING)\nRECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council:\nMay 21, 2024: City Council Meeting Page 6 of 8\n1) Find and determine that the Ordinance is exempt from the California\nEnvironmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section\n15061(b)(3), which indicates that CEQA only applies to projects that have a\n“significant effect on the environment” as defined in Public Resources Code\nSection 21068 and in CEQA Guidelines Section 15382; and\n2) Find and determine that the proposed Zone Text Amendment is consistent with\nthe goals, policies, and program of the City’s General Plan; and\n3) Adopt Ordinance No. 1138 by title, adopting a Zone Text Amendment to add\nSection 155.656.1 (Truck, Trailer, Chassis or Container Storage, Temporary)\nand modify Section 155.003 (Definitions), to Chapter 155 (Zoning) of Title 15\n(Land Use) of the Santa Fe Springs Municipal Code; and\n4) Take such additional, related action that may be desirable.
